The Departing

When your friends have decided to take another path, away from you, would you wish them well or attempt to have them stay? As Frodo and Sam break from the Fellowship and Mary and Pippin are taken by the Urah'Kai, the Fellowship had finally been broken. I couldn't see Why Frodo chose to leave everyone behind, he would have left Sam as well if it weren't for him almost drowning. The choice to leave all of my friends to risk my life for a greater good would be a hard decision but one that where I would not hesitate, to save those close to me.

  2. No matter the circumstances, I don't think I could ever leave my friends behind no matter what. So this is a good blog for a lot of opinions.

  3. I have never read the book, but I like the movies. I like how you relate to this story. The way you would risk anything to save those you care about. Everyone should try to relate to their books, because then they will realize that books have some form of reality and humanity to them. It will make you understand the story more if you try and put yourself in the character's shoes.

  4. Personally, the novels are better than Peter Jackson's movie version of Lord of the Rings. I myself, would never leave my friends behind, not ever!

  5. It did seem a little weird how all of Frodo's pals were willing to drop everything to go on a suicide mission with him. The whole trilogy seems to be a warning against power. I do love the books though, one of the best series.

  7. But it was to protect his friends that he went on alone. Isn't that the greater sacrifice??
