The Forgotten Son

This week we have been spending a lot of time studying the Tale of Oedipus and the burdens he carries passed down from his father. The fact that King Laius hooked his baby sons feet to a chain to hang Oedipus off the side of a cliff. He was lucky that he was a babe when that happened because the pain of having your ankles pierced is excruciating, trust me I know. Oedipus being taken to Corinth allowed him to live and the prophecy Apollo had laid before the old king.

  1. That is the total opposite of what I just posted... But good and though you have a decent amount of length to your paragraph, go into detail more on all your sentences because at this point your jumping around alot and I think that it would help if you did that.

  2. I was wondering how you knew how it felt to get your ankles pierced. You should expand more on that topic because I'm sure others are curious too.

    1. Seriously? Hmmmmm....I think we are capable of more intelligent conversation than that.

  3. As good as a story as it is, The Greeks have some really, really, really, wired traditions. I mean, they even had a god for getting the "funk on" that carried a sack of dangling unmentionables. No seriously! All in all, we owe the Greeks for a butt load of innovations but damn, we call them civilized? They just seem like an egotistical, battle-ready, argumentive, sexually-frustrated, male dominated ancient culture. (Sorry, I have been stirken by a bad stint of logic and it has been incredibly burdensome.)

    1. Yeah, Mr. Mohan, gotta agree with your comments. But look at us, and we call us civilized?
